    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – Outpatient Surgery / PACU (Contract)

    Georgetown, TX | Outpatient Surgery

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM | On-Call Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care for outpatient surgery patients; Pre-op/Post-op experience required
    • Care for a diverse patient population including general surgery, GI, orthopedic, urology, spine, gynecology, breast oncology/reconstruction, podiatry, cardioversion, heart cath, IR procedures, and bronchoscopy cases
    • Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4 in an 18-bed outpatient surgery unit
    • Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
    • Participate in on-call shifts, approximately 2–4 call shifts every 4 weeks, including weekend on-call coverage (0700–0700)
    • Collaborate with a shared PACU/OPS nursing team while maintaining the ability to work independently during call shifts
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • ACLS certification required
    • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
    • Pre-op and post-op clinical experience required
    • Ability and willingness to participate in on-call scheduling, including weekends
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Hospital-based nursing experience
    • Experience with Meditech EMR
    • Background in PACU or outpatient surgical settings
    • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to work well under pressure and adapt to variable staffing during call
