Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Day Shift | Varied shift times (9:00 AM–9:00 PM / 10:00 AM–10:00 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from a wide range of surgical procedures including general, neuro, oncology, orthopedic, and vascular surgeries
- Maintain a 1:2 patient ratio in a 26-bed PACU unit located adjacent to the OR
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
- Adhere to ASPAN Guidelines for post-anesthesia nursing practice
- Participate in on-call rotation, including one night per week and two weekends over the 13-week contract
- Float to Day Surgery as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in the state of Texas
- PACU experience required
- ICU experience required
- ACLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
- Ability to participate in on-call rotation (nights and weekends)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with a broad range of surgical specialties including neuro, oncology, orthopedics, and vascular
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR
- Easygoing, team-oriented personality with strong interpersonal skills
