Contract | 8-Week Assignment | 4x10-Hour Evening Shifts (10:30 AM – 9:00 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-operative nursing care in accordance with ASPAN standards at a Level II Trauma Center
• Care for a diverse patient population including pediatric (1 year and older), adult, and geriatric patients
• Support same-day surgery patients, inpatient admissions, and observation patients across a broad range of surgical specialties including vascular, orthopedic, neuro/spine, cardiovascular, thoracic, trauma, bariatric, and more
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
• Float between sister facilities nearby the contracted facility as needed
• Commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of PACU or pre/post-operative nursing experience
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with pediatric surgical patients (ages 1 year and older)
• Familiarity with a high-volume, multi-specialty surgical environment including trauma cases
• Prior experience charting in EPIC
• Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center setting
