Key Responsibilities
Provide pre-operative and post-anesthesia recovery care for patients receiving anesthesia across surgical specialties including spine, general, GI, colorectal, total joints, GYN, and robotics cases.
Float between PACU units including Main, Surgical Robotics, and Orthopedic Surgery Center as needed.
Monitor and manage high-acuity patients including high neuro volume, stroke patients, interventional radiology, TAVR, and critical care overflow.
Maintain patient ratios in accordance with ASPAN standards (1 RN to 2 patients; up to 3 for same-day surgery patients).
Utilize GE monitoring equipment and document patient care using Meditech EMR.
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Colorado or compact state eligibility.
Minimum 2 years of experience in Critical Care and/or PACU.
Current PALS, ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
Ability to float between multiple PACU units within the facility.
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with stroke care and high neuro-volume patient populations.
Flexible and outgoing personality well-suited to a fast-paced, multi-unit environment.
