Key Responsibilities
Provide pre-operative and post-anesthesia recovery care for patients undergoing a wide range of surgical and interventional procedures
Float between PACU units including Main, Surgical Robotics, and Orthopedic Surgery Center as needed
Manage a patient ratio of 1:2 (up to 1:3 for same-day surgery patients) in accordance with ASPAN standards
Care for high-acuity patients including neuro/stroke, interventional radiology, TAVR, critical care overflow, and surgical cases such as spine, GI, colorectal, total joints, GYN, and robotics
Utilize GE monitoring equipment and document care using Meditech EMR
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RNs and patient care technicians
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Colorado
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Critical Care and/or PACU
Current PALS, ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
Ability to float between multiple PACU units within the facility
Flexibility and strong interpersonal communication skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with stroke care and high neuro-volume patient populations
Prior travel nursing experience in a PACU or surgical setting
