Key Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility and accountability for an assigned group of patients during a designated timeframe
- Perform ongoing and systematic patient assessments focusing on physiologic, psychological, and cognitive status
- Provide patient care through therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, and available instrumentation and environment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary health care team members to deliver coordinated patient care
- Carry out duties in accordance with established standards of care and divisional nursing core values
- Report directly to the assigned Unit Director
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York
- PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) experience
- Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments in an acute care setting
- Ability to work mid shifts as scheduled
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a PACU or post-surgical recovery environment
- Familiarity with physiologic monitoring and post-anesthesia patient management
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within a multidisciplinary team
