    Travel RN – PACU (Pre-Op / Post-Op)

    Elko, Nevada

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | Days – Variable 10-Hour Shifts with Call | Start Time: 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM | Call Requirements: 1 weekday per week and 1 weekend per month

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in Pre-Op, PACU (Phase I), and Phase II recovery settings across a broad patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric
    • Prepare and recover patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures including total joints, laparoscopic surgeries, ENT, OB/GYN, ophthalmology, podiatry, and Cath Lab cases requiring sedation
    • Monitor and manage patients recovering from anesthesia, maintaining patient ratios of 1:2 in PACU and 1:4 in Pre-Op and Phase II
    • Prepare and recover Cath Lab and Radiology patients requiring sedation in addition to standard surgical cases
    • Respond to on-call requirements as scheduled, including weekday and weekend call coverage
    • Float to other areas of the unit as needed to support staffing and patient care demands
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Pre-Op, PACU, and Phase II recovery in an acute care hospital setting
    • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher required
    • Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications required
    • Proficiency with IV insertion and management
    • Ability to meet call requirements including 1 weekday and 1 weekend per month
    • Willingness and ability to float within the surgical unit as needed
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Previous travel nursing assignment experience strongly preferred
    • Experience in an acute care rural hospital setting preferred
    • Familiarity with EHR systems such as Medhost or similar platforms
