Key Responsibilities
Assess, plan, and implement direct clinical care for assigned patients on a per-shift basis in a PACU or Pre-Op setting
Monitor and evaluate patient responses post-anesthesia or pre-procedure and intervene as clinically appropriate
Supervise clinical staff and delegate patient care tasks appropriately within scope of practice
Support facility nursing leadership to ensure high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care is delivered
Contribute to competency evaluation and ongoing development of clinical staff at the unit level
Assist with appropriate resource management related to patient care operations
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of South Dakota or a compact state
Current BLS certification required
ACLS certification required
Prior PACU or Pre-Op nursing experience in a clinical setting
Demonstrated ability to assess and manage patients in a post-anesthesia or pre-operative care environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience in an ambulatory surgery center or outpatient surgical environment
Previous charge nurse or supervisory experience at the unit level
Familiarity with quality improvement initiatives and patient safety standards
