Schedule / Job TypeContract | 4×10-hour shifts with variable schedule and shared on-call rotation for PACU
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care across the full Outpatient Services area, including Day Surgery, Endoscopy Lab, Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Pre-operative Clinic, and conscious sedation for special procedures
- Perform nursing assessments utilizing strong peri-operative education and care skills
- Recognize and respond to post-anesthesia and post-operative complications
- Float throughout the Outpatient Services department to support varying patient care needs
- Participate in a shared on-call rotation for PACU coverage
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Minimum of two years of SSSU, PACU, Pre-op, or Post-op nursing experience required
- Strong proficiency in Pre-op, Post-op, PACU, Phase II, Endoscopy, and Infusion care
- Ability to float to all areas within the Outpatient Services department
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with conscious sedation monitoring for special procedures
- Familiarity with peri-operative patient education
- Ability to adapt to a variable schedule in a fast-paced outpatient environment
