    Key Responsibilities
    • Prepare surgical patients for procedures in a preoperative holding and same day surgery setting
    • Provide Phase 2 recovery care to post-operative patients
    • Perform and assist with IV starts, moderate sedation, nerve blocks, arterial lines, central lines, and Swan procedures as indicated
    • Monitor patients using cardiac monitors, EKG machines, and ultrasound equipment
    • Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
    • Collaborate with unit secretaries and surgical technologists to ensure efficient patient throughput
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in preoperative, PACU, or same day surgery nursing
    • Demonstrated IV start skills and moderate sedation experience
    • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
    • Experience preparing surgical patients for procedures and providing Phase 2 recovery
    • Blue scrubs required as unit dress code
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
    • Experience with advanced procedures including nerve blocks, arterial lines, central lines, and Swan catheter management
    • Prior travel nursing experience in a surgical or perioperative environment
