    Job Title

    Travel RN – PACU

    Location

    Englewood, CO | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | Days | 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM | 13-Week Assignment

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care across Phase 1 and Phase 2 PACU settings within a high-volume surgical unit
    • Manage patient ratios of 1:2 in PreOp, 1:1 in Phase 1 PACU, and 1:2 in Phase 2 PACU
    • Support a caseload that is approximately 80% orthopedic and 20% general surgery, including total joint procedures, sports medicine, foot/ankle, general surgery, and breast/reconstruction cases
    • Operate unit equipment including stretchers, EKG monitors, blood glucose monitors, BP monitors, and Pyxis machines; document care using Meditech EMR
    • Collaborate with floor nursing teams for patient admissions and transitions of care
    • Participate in PACU call as required by unit scheduling needs
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license valid in the state of Colorado (or compact eligibility)
    • Minimum 1 year of current PACU experience with an orthopedic patient population
    • PACU call experience required
    • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Knowledge of PT/OT instructions and protocols for joint replacement patients
    • Comfort with and experience in bedside patient teaching
    • Team-oriented, flexible, dependable, and able to maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced surgical environment
