Key Responsibilities
Provide direct post-anesthesia nursing care to patients in a 12-bed PACU setting
Monitor and manage patients across all population types during the post-operative recovery phase
Administer and titrate drips and vasoactive medications per established protocols
Read and interpret telemetry to assess and respond to patient cardiac status
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe patient transitions out of the PACU
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the EPIC electronic medical record system
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 12 months of PACU / post-anesthesia care experience required; work history must reflect 24 months of current PACU experience
Active Iowa RN license or active Compact/Multistate RN license required at time of submission
Proficiency with EPIC EMR required
Strong experience reading and measuring telemetry required
Drips and titration experience required
Active BLS certification (AHA or ARC), ACLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA) required
Preferred Experience / Skills
Pediatric care experience preferred
