Key Responsibilities
- Provide pre- and post-operative nursing care in a procedural unit supporting non-invasive cardiology cases
- Care for patients undergoing TEE, cardioversions, and cardiac stress testing procedures
- Maintain a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio across pre/post bays and procedure areas
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using EPIC EMR
- Participate in required holiday coverage as scheduled by the unit (up to 1–2 summer and/or winter holidays)
Required Qualifications
- Active Iowa RN license (or compact license accepted per state requirements)
- Active BLS certification through AHA or American Red Cross
- Minimum 24 months of current experience in Pre/Post-Op, PACU, or Cardiac/Cardiology setting
- Demonstrated experience with TEE and cardioversion procedures
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (based on driver's license)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with cardiac stress testing
- First-time travelers considered with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, or director within the past 24 months
