Registered Nurse (RN) – Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct post-anesthesia nursing care to patients in a 12-bed PACU setting
- Monitor and manage patients across all population types during the post-operative recovery phase
- Administer and titrate drips and vasoactive medications per established protocols
- Read and interpret telemetry to assess and respond to patient cardiac status
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe patient transitions out of the PACU
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the EPIC electronic medical record system
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 12 months of PACU / post-anesthesia care experience required; work history must reflect 24 months of current PACU experience
- Active Iowa RN license or active Compact/Multistate RN license required at time of submission
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR required
- Strong experience reading and measuring telemetry required
- Drips and titration experience required
- Active BLS certification (AHA or ARC), ACLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA) required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Pediatric care experience preferred
- Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
