Contract | Days | Varied start times (5:00 AM – 9:00 AM) | On-call overnight once per week (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | On-call one weekend every 4–5 weeks (Friday 7:00 PM through Monday 7:30 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia nursing care to patients recovering from surgical or procedural sedation in the PACU setting
- Monitor and assess patient vital signs, airway status, pain levels, and neurological function during the recovery phase
- Administer medications and interventions as ordered, responding promptly to changes in patient condition
- Fulfill on-call obligations as scheduled, including overnight and weekend rotations
- Collaborate with surgical, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe patient transitions
Required Qualifications
- Active Wyoming Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing, verified within the last 30 days; no disciplinary actions on state license
- Minimum of 24 months of PACU experience, with experience within the last 12 months
- Active BLS certification from AHA, ARC, or ASHI (documentation required)
- Active ACLS certification from AHA, ARC, or ASHI (documentation required)
- Active PALS certification from AHA, ARC, or ASHI (documentation required)
- Valid driver's license required for residency verification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred
- Experience in a large acute care or trauma-designated facility
