Key Responsibilities
Provide post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical and procedural interventions
Monitor and assess patient vital signs, airway status, and neurological function in the immediate post-operative period
Administer medications and interventions as ordered to manage pain, nausea, and other post-operative symptoms
Collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams to ensure safe patient transitions and handoffs
Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in the medical record
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum of 3 years of RN experience
Minimum of 1 year of PACU experience in a travel nursing capacity
Minimum of 1 year of experience in an Academic Medical Center setting
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience working in high-acuity or complex surgical environments
Strong communication and critical thinking skills in fast-paced clinical settings
