Travel Nurse RN - Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Pre-Post Op in Bon Air, VA

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days | 11:00 AM – 8:30 PM | 9, 10, and 12-hour shifts available on a waterfall schedule

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care to patients in a 19-bed Main PACU and 4-bed Atrium PACU setting
• Maintain patient ratios of 2:1 standard, 1:1 for unstable ICU patients, and 1:1 for pediatric patients
• Operate and monitor equipment including ventilators, Philips and GE monitors, and Sigma Spectrum pumps
• Perform arterial line blood draws, set up PCA pumps, and manage drip titration
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
• Participate in on-call rotation: weekday call from 9:30 PM – 8:00 AM and weekend call 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of PACU or ICU experience, with a strong neurology background
• Demonstrated ventilator competency
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ICU or PACU background with drip titration experience
• Neurosurgery experience
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
