Registered Nurse – PACU (Travel Contract)

Contract (13 Weeks) | Days, 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM | 5x8-hour shifts | 36 hours guaranteed per week | No call requirements | No float requirements | No weekend hours
Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia care and recovery monitoring for patients in a 24-bed PACU unit
- Manage a patient population including orthopedic, neurological, general surgery, and pediatric cases
- Maintain a 2:1 patient ratio while delivering safe, compassionate, and professional nursing care
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately using Epic EMR
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery and transition of care
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2–3 years of PACU/Recovery nursing experience required
- Current ACLS certification
- Current BLS certification
- Current PALS certification
- Proficiency with Epic EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Critical care nursing background
- Experience with diverse surgical patient populations including orthopedic, neurological, and pediatric patients
