Contract | Days | Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM – 10:30 PM | On-call coverage required for holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia nursing care for a high-acuity patient population in an active PACU setting
• Care for patients undergoing thoracic, orthopedic, neurological, vascular, urological, and general surgery procedures
• Collaborate with charge nurses and supervisors to maintain safe, efficient unit operations on a unit that operates 24/7
• Participate in holiday call coverage, including 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
• Document and manage patient care using Cerner electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent PACU experience
• AHA ACLS certification required
• AHA BLS certification required
• NIHSS Certification required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with high-acuity surgical cases including thoracic, vascular, and neurological procedures
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic health record system
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume PACU environment
