    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Four 9-hour day shifts per week, Monday–Friday; shift start times vary by daily assignment (Pre-Op: 0630–1600 or 0700–1630; PACU: 0800–1730 or 0830–1800; Procedure: 0730–1700). On-call requirements apply — candidates should expect approximately 6 weeknight call shifts and 2 twenty-four-hour weekend call shifts per 6-week scheduling period; actual requirements may be less but will not exceed these amounts. Projected start date: 09/15/2026.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide pre-operative nursing care, including patient assessment, education, and preparation for endoscopic and surgical procedures
    • Deliver post-anesthesia recovery care (PACU) for adult and pediatric patients following endoscopic procedures
    • Assist as a procedure RN during adult and pediatric endoscopic cases, including EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, EBUS, bronchoscopy, ION navigational bronchoscopy, stent placements, PEG placement, tracheostomy placement, pulmonary cryo therapy, capsule endoscopy, and foreign body removal
    • Operate and assist with specialized endoscopic equipment including Olympus scopes, ERBE, Medivator, ION, Boston Scientific, and Cook devices
    • Document patient care accurately using the Cerner EMR system
    • Participate in on-call coverage as scheduled, including weeknight and weekend call shifts, in accordance with departmental staffing needs
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or a Compact State
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • PALS certification required
    • Prior endoscopy RN experience required — candidates without this experience will not be considered
    • Candidates should not be commuting daily from a permanent residence; this is a travel assignment intended for candidates relocating temporarily to the area
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Pediatric endoscopy experience (patient age range: under 1 year through 18 years)
    • Pulmonary endoscopy experience
    • Endoscopy technician experience
