Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia care to patients in a Level I Trauma, acute care inpatient PACU setting at a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2
- Perform and assist with pre- and post-Cardiac Catheterization Lab procedures
- Perform and assist with pre- and post-Interventional Radiology procedures
- Float within the PACU department to the Holding area as needed, with ratios of 1:3–5 (PCU-equivalent acuity)
- Participate in on-call coverage, including 1–2 overnight call shifts per month
- Complete one weekend shift per month and participate in required holiday coverage (2 of 3 designated holiday bundles)
Required Qualifications
- Active or pending RN licensure (pending license accepted at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of PACU experience; Level I Trauma experience required
- Telemetry experience required
- Required certifications: BCLS, ACLS, PALS (RQI certifications not accepted)
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR preferred; experience in a high-acuity acute care environment required
- Must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; non-local driver's license required on file
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience
- Experience in a teaching hospital or children's hospital environment
- Familiarity with PCU-level patient care and acuity
- Successful EKG testing (pass/fail; maximum 2 attempts)
