Job Title: PACU Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 hours, Days Hours per Shift: Varies, starting from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent PACU experience License: Active RN License (ND or Compact) Certifications: - BLS (AHA) - ACLS (AHA) - PALS (AHA) Must-Have: - EPIC experience - Experience working with pediatric patients - Ability to work independently and efficiently Description: The role involves caring for patients post-surgery across various specialties, including adult and pediatric patients. Experience with ICU, MRI, oncology, and interventional radiology patients is preferred. The unit features a 16 Bay Phase I PACU with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1 or 2:1. Candidates are expected to have strong critical thinking and clinical skills. Call requirements include 3-5 weeknights in a six-week period, and 1-2 weekends in the same timeframe. Staff may float to other units as needed, and training will be provided for phase two patients. Scrubs are provided for the role. Candidates should be prepared for a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
