A minimum of two years’ experience in SSSU, PACU, pre-operative, and post-operative care is required. Charge nurse experience is preferred. The nursing care responsibilities include floating to the entire outpatient services area, which may involve day surgery, endoscopy lab, PACU, and pre-operative clinic duties. Candidates should utilize nursing assessment skills to provide peri-operative education and care, as well as recognizing post-anesthesia and post-operative complications.
