The shift starts at 06:00, with staggered start times until 08:30. Flexibility in scheduling is essential. Nurses are expected to stay and finish their shift, as outpatient surgery does not have shift relief. Previous experience in a similar role is required. The nurse will work with adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients. Daily census may include up to 10 patients. The unit accommodates all outpatient surgeries, including general, orthopedic, and urology procedures. Travelers may be required to float between nearby facilities. Commitment to working three of five holidays during the contract is necessary. References covering the last year are required for the compliance process. All time spent on modules during orientation is factored into normal business hours.
