Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, with 3 years of experience in PACU. License: Current California Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: - Knowledge of airway management, anesthesia recovery, and pain management. - Ability to work in preoperative and extended care units. Description: The position requires expertise in managing patient care in a PACU environment. Candidates must float to other facilities as required. References must be provided prior to submission. The role includes working with a patient census of approximately 50. Daily tasks involve overseeing patients recovering from outpatient surgeries. Knowledge and experience with Epic charting system are preferred. The unit specializes in same-day procedures excluding orthopedic and cardiac cases. Standard hospital equipment will be used within the department. Interdisciplinary support and pharmacy services are available. Basic patient demographics include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The facility values teamwork and collaboration among medical staff.
