Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years License: CA RN License Certifications: BSN, ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: - 2 years of inpatient experience - Level I Trauma Center experience - Experience in Phase I PACU and Phase II Recovery Description: The position requires the ability to float to various facilities as needed. Candidates should have experience recovering patients with higher acuity, including those who have undergone kidney transplants, craniotomies, transaortic valve replacements, and spine surgeries. Experience in managing ICU patients is preferred. The nursing role includes care for patients post-operative from various surgical procedures. Key skills include the ability to perform end-tidal CO2 monitoring, manage central lines, and provide airway assessments. The candidate should also be proficient in medication administration and patient education related to discharge instructions. Knowledge of advanced monitoring techniques and critical care protocols is essential. The position requires strong assessment skills and the ability to respond to emergencies swiftly. Candidates should be familiar with Epic for charting purposes. The ideal candidate has strong teamwork skills and can collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary support teams. Flexibility in scheduling is expected, with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. Completion of references is required prior to finalization of the hiring process.
