Description: The unit is a 16-bed pre-post area with three procedural rooms. The unit performs a variety of services for both outpatient and inpatient populations. It specializes in diagnostic and interventional procedures. The registered nurse is responsible for providing pre and post-care. Duties include assessing patient health problems and needs, providing education, maintaining medical records, and administering moderate sedation during procedures. The registered nurse will work in a team environment. The patient ratio is 4:1, ensuring the same nurse cares for the same patient from start to finish. Scrubs are provided by the unit.
