Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 1 year in PACU or ICU License: Valid State License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred Patient ratio experience: 1:2 Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for a position in the PACU. Candidates must be willing to float between units as needed. On-call duty required, approximately 100 hours. Weekend coverage is required for on-call shifts. Block scheduling is not applicable. Candidates should possess certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS. Expectations include supporting recovery for a variety of procedures. Patient groups include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily patient census and specific diagnoses may vary. The role requires experience with monitoring and managing various patient conditions. Skills in IV management, pain management, and monitoring for complications are essential. The ability to interpret and communicate lab values is critical. Candidates will be responsible for patient assessment and post-operative care. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities based on the unit's needs. Refusal to float may affect guaranteed hours and assignment stability. Effective communication devices will be provided as needed for job duties. Compliance participants are encouraged to follow the outlined job expectations. Candidates must be flexible with the scheduling requirements, including holiday shifts.
