Job Opportunity – PACU Registered Nurse – Pennsylvania

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Pennsylvania

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts (11:00 AM - 11:30 PM) with call coverage. Includes 2 on-call shifts Monday-Friday (8-hour shifts) and 1 on-call shift (12 hours) on the weekend within a 6-week schedule. One summer and one winter on-call holiday required.

  • Level I Trauma Center with diverse patient population including adults, pediatrics, adolescents, and geriatrics
  • Complex case mix including transplant procedures (liver, kidney), craniotomies, cardiac catheterization, interventional radiology, trauma cases, and general surgical procedures
  • 28-bed unit with 2:1 patient ratio and 30 visits per day average volume
  • 13-week assignment with 16 hours of orientation provided
  • Charting system: Cerner Aecis Surgi Net; scrubs provided
  • First-time travelers welcome; interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, interpretation services, and social services
Requirements:
  • Active Pennsylvania RN license (or compact license) required at time of submission
  • Current certifications: TNCC, PALS, ACLS, and BLS required
  • Minimum 2-3 years of recent experience in Critical Care or PACU
  • Level I Trauma experience and ICU background required
  • Experience with SICU, MICU, or CTICU strongly preferred
  • Previous charge experience preferred
  • Proficiency with charting systems and comfort with ventilators, A-lines, Swan-Ganz catheters, drains, vasoactive IV titration, and other critical equipment
  • Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
  • Pennsylvania fingerprinting and childline clearance required within specified timeframes
  • Any requested time off must be submitted at time of application
