Description

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU / Critical Care – Pennsylvania

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Pennsylvania

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week (Pre-op: 6:00am-6:30pm or Post-op: 8:00am-8:30pm). On-call requirements include 2 shifts Monday-Friday and 1 weekend shift in a 6-week schedule, plus 1 summer and 1 winter holiday.

Highlights:

  • Work in a Level I Trauma Center with diverse patient population including adults and pediatrics
  • 28-bed unit with approximately 30 patient visits per day; 2:1 patient ratio
  • Wide variety of procedures including trauma, transplants, cardiac cath, interventional radiology, and various surgical specialties
  • Experience with advanced equipment including vents, A-lines, Swan-Ganz, vasoactive IV titration
  • 13-week assignment with 16 hours of orientation
  • Charting system: Cerner Aecis Surgi Net; scrubs provided

Requirements:

  • Active Pennsylvania RN license (or compact license) required at time of submission
  • Certifications: TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), PALS, ACLS, BLS – all required
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Critical Care or PACU
  • Level I Trauma experience and ICU background required
  • Experience with SICU, MICU, or CTICU strongly preferred
  • Previous charge experience preferred
  • Pennsylvania fingerprinting and childline clearance required
  • Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
  • First-time travelers welcome

Additional Details:

  • Possible float to GI or Pain Center as needed
  • Self-scheduling; block scheduling not available
  • Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of application and cannot be modified after submission
  • Compliance requirements include completion of labs within 48 hours of contract signing
  • Local candidates within 50-mile radius subject to rate differential
