Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in PACU. The unit consists of 16 beds with an average patient census of 35 per day. The nurse will work with critical care patients in a fast-paced environment. The work involves adhering to ASPAN standards for patient ratios. The department provides support with charge PACU RNs, managers, hospitalists, intensivists, and respiratory therapists available 24/7. Technology includes EMR (Cerner is highly preferred), IV pumps (Alaris), medication dispensing (Omnicell), and GE monitors. The position requires the nurse to float between PACU and Post-op as necessary. The schedule includes weekend rotations and on-call duties, with holiday expectations as well.
