Ratios for days are 1 nurse to 2 patients. First-time travelers are accepted. Holiday shifts and charge nurse assignments may be required as needed. Weekend work is required, specifically one weekend every six weeks. Skills required include cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition and management. Experience with medications such as narcotics and reversal agents is essential. The nurse will manage patients receiving various types of anesthesia including conscious sedation, general, and local. Pain assessment and management is a key aspect of the role. Surgical cases may include cardiac, ENT, general, gynecology, ophthalmology, orthopedic, and urology. On-call work is required, including one weekend every six weeks and one night per week. Floating within departments and units may be necessary to meet facility needs. Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility. RTO restrictions are in place, with a maximum of 7 days of RTO allowed throughout the contract. Candidates must ensure compliance with all documentation and module requirements.
