TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Newton, Massachusetts, 02458!
Key Responsibilities
Provide post-anesthesia nursing care to patients recovering from surgical or procedural interventions
Monitor and assess patient vital signs, level of consciousness, and recovery progress in the PACU setting
Administer medications and interventions as ordered, responding promptly to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe patient transitions
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
Participate in on-call shifts as scheduled within the 6-week rotation
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts or compact licensure eligibility
Current BLS certification required
PACU or post-anesthesia care experience
Ability to work night shifts with varied start times and rotating schedule
Availability for on-call shifts as needed per scheduling cycle
Preferred Experience / Skills
ACLS certification
Experience with both Phase I and Phase II PACU recovery
Familiarity with a high-volume surgical environment
