**Join Our Dynamic Surgical Nursing Team!** **Job Description:** - Assess and respond to the unique physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of patients through compassionate observation and interaction. - Act as a vigilant patient advocate, ensuring every voice is heard and every need is met. - Utilize your professional nursing skills and judgment to implement exceptional nursing care and address any identified issues. - Communicate patient assessments effectively to ensure seamless coordination of care among all team members. - Exhibit knowledge of diagnostic measures such as labs, radiology, and EKG, while demonstrating proficiency in IV therapy. - Transcribe and implement physicians' orders accurately and swiftly upon patient admission to the surgical center. - Document patient clinical records using computer systems with precision and promptness; ensure all necessary paperwork and procedures are complete. - Provide informative and supportive education to patients and their families, empowering them through their healthcare journey. - Manage supplies according to policy, using resources wisely to maintain quality patient care while controlling costs. - Assist with housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and prepping beds as needed to create a welcoming environment for patients. - In the PACU, leverage your critical thinking skills to provide exceptional nursing care, monitor vital signs, manage pain effectively, and consult with surgeons and anesthesiologists as needed. - Stay well-informed on patient transfer processes and procedures to the medical center. - As a float nurse, maintain communication across departments, assist staff as needed, and ensure smooth operations throughout the facility. - Engage in pain management and eye laser procedure rooms, expanding your nursing skills in diverse settings. - Be familiar with emergency protocols, including the location of crash carts, medications, and supplies required for quick response. - Participate in committee meetings, contribute suggestions for improvements, and seek guidance as necessary. - Take on additional duties as assigned, contributing to a collaborative and supportive team environment. **Shift Information:** - 8-hour shifts; variable start times from 0600-0700, Monday through Friday; no weekends, holidays, or call required. **Minimum Years of Experience:** - 2 years of nursing experience. **Certifications / Requirements:** - ACLS - BLS/BCLS - PALS **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
