Travel Nurse RN - Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Pre-Post Op - $2,272 per week in Wichita, KS

Diverse case mix including surgical pre-op, endoscopy, catheterization lab, electrophysiology, CT imaging, outpatient infusions, EKGs, nerve blocks, and blood transfusions. # Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (Pre-Op/Recovery) – Kansas

Start Date: September 7, 2026

Location: Wichita, Kansas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 12-hour shifts. On-call requirement: two 10-hour on-call shifts every 8 weeks with 30-minute response time.

Highlights:

• Pre-operative holding and Phase 2 recovery unit with 9 pre-op beds and 5 recovery beds
• 1:3 patient ratio providing quality, individualized patient care
• EMR: Meditech; unit equipped with Pyxis, GE MACVU EKG machines, Doppler, bladder scanners
• Diverse case mix including surgical pre-op, endoscopy, catheterization lab, electrophysiology, CT imaging, outpatient infusions, EKGs, nerve blocks, and blood transfusions
• Phase 2 recovery experience with urology, gynecology, and same-day surgery patients
• Collaborative team environment with experienced full-time and part-time nursing staff

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Kansas or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care pre-operative RN hospital experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications (current and valid)
• Prior pre-op experience or ability to support pre-op workflows strongly preferred
• Meditech experience preferred
