Travel Nurse RN - Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Pre-Post Op - $2,267 per week in Morgantown, WV

Monitor and manage patients requiring RT equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and ventilators; recover ICU-level patients as needed. Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1-1:2 (Phase 1) and 1:3 (Phase 2) across a diverse surgical caseload including Ortho, ENT, Ophthalmology, GYN, Urology, Endoscopy, Bronchoscopy, and Podiatry.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Phase 1 and Phase 2 post-anesthesia recovery care within a high-volume pre/post day surgery unit (70 beds)
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1-1:2 (Phase 1) and 1:3 (Phase 2) across a diverse surgical caseload including Ortho, ENT, Ophthalmology, GYN, Urology, Endoscopy, Bronchoscopy, and Podiatry
• Monitor and manage patients requiring RT equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and ventilators; recover ICU-level patients as needed
• Read and interpret cardiac monitor strips
• Collaborate with Perioperative Care Assistants (PCAs) and interdisciplinary team; support charge nurse coverage when needed
• Float to Pre/Post areas on other units as needed per staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure
• BLS certification - AHA required
• ACLS certification - AHA required
• PALS certification - AHA required
• Minimum 1 year of PACU or pre/post anesthesia nursing experience
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for ICU-level patients in a PACU setting
• Familiarity with a broad range of surgical specialties including orthopedics, urology, and endoscopy
• Experience with RT equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and mechanical ventilation
