Total bed capacity is 70. The recovery areas provide both Phase 1 and Phase 2 care. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:1 to 1:2 in Phase 1 and 1:3 in Phase 2. Respiratory therapy equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP, and ventilators. Intensive Care Unit patients are cared for in this area. There are perioperative care assistants available, maintaining a 1:7 ratio. The role includes a 12-hour call requirement during a 4-week schedule period.
