**Join Our Dynamic Team as an RN in PACU & Preop!**
**Job Description:**
- **Location:** Los Alamos Medical Center, Los Alamos, NM
- **Unit:** 3rd Floor
- **Role:** Registered Nurse (RN)
- **Specialty:** PACU & Preop
- **Number of Openings:** 1
- **Shift:** Day shift - 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM (with occasional night and weekend call)
- **Weekly Guaranteed Hours:** Approximately 40 hours
- **On-Call Coverage:** Required on weekends
- **Call Requirements:** 30-minute response time after notification of a case
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Deliver exceptional patient care in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and Preoperative settings.
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1 to 1 or 1 to 2 for personalized attention.
- Collaborate with a skilled team in a supportive environment.
**Qualifications:**
- **Years of Experience:** Minimum 2 years in PACU
- **Required Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, PALS
- **Education:** Must hold a current RN license
- **Preferred Skills:** Prior experience in Preop and PACU; familiar with cases like Appendicitis and Gallbladder surgeries

- **Number of Beds:** 3
- **Electronic Health Records:** CQI, Medhost
- **Supervisor:** James Maxey
- **Patient Population:** Primarily adults, with some ENT procedures once a month
**Dress Code:**
- **Scrub Color:** Not applicable
- **Unacceptable Attire:** Open-toed shoes, fake fingernails
