Competence in starting and managing IV lines, including administering fluids and medications.
Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and accurate documentation of patient progress and interventions.
Experience caring for patients after various major surgeries, including general, vascular, neuro, and orthopedic surgery.
Description:
This position involves working in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU).
The nurse will be responsible for monitoring patients after surgery and ensuring their recovery from anesthesia.
Key responsibilities include assessing patients' vital signs and consciousness levels.
The nurse will manage pain effectively through medication administration.
Candidates must be proficient in IV management and understand the administration of fluids and medications.
This role requires competence in using electronic health records for patient documentation.
The nurse should have experience caring for postoperative patients across a variety of surgical disciplines.
Flexibility to work varying start times is essential, as shifts may begin as early as 6:00 AM.
Call duty may also be required, necessitating the ability to report to the PACU within a specified time frame when on call.
