Description

Job Opportunity – Pre-Op Registered Nurse – Kansas

Start Date: June 26, 2026
Location: Wichita, Kansas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM; On-call required (2 shifts of 10 hours every 8 weeks with 30-minute response time)

Highlights:

  • Patient ratio of 1:3 in a 9-bed Pre-Op unit with 5 Phase 2 recovery beds
  • Collaborative team environment with experienced full-time, part-time, and PRN nursing staff
  • Meditech EMR system; equipment includes Pyxis, GE MACVU EKG machines, Doppler, bladder scanners, and patient scales
  • Varied case mix including surgical prep, endoscopy, catheterization lab, electrophysiology, CT procedures, outpatient infusions, EKGs, nerve blocks, and blood transfusions
  • Phase 2 recovery experience with Urology, GYN, and Same Day Surgery patients
  • Travel nursing assignment with competitive benefits

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of current acute care Pre-Op RN experience in a hospital setting
  • Active Registered Nurse license
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
  • Prior Pre-Op or recovery room experience preferred
  • Meditech EMR experience is a plus
