Strong ICU experience required. Previous charge nurse experience required. License: Active RN state license required. Certifications: ACLS and BLS required. PALS and NIHSS preferred. Must-Have: Strong ICU experience is essential. Charge nurse experience is necessary. Description: The Main PACU is a specialized unit providing peri-anesthesia care. We offer 24/7 services for patients across all age groups and acuity levels. Care is provided for inpatients and outpatients undergoing scheduled or emergency surgeries. Nurses are responsible for vigilant pre and post-operative care. The workload may include a broad range of surgical and procedural services. Nurses must be competent in titration of vasopressors. Airway management and care of ventilated patients are required skills. Experience in blood product administration and fluid resuscitation is necessary. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:2. Weekend and holiday shifts are required as scheduled. Floating within the specialty may be required as needed. On-call shifts may be necessary every few weeks. Nurses will not be required to recover true pediatric patients. Candidates may assist permanent staff in caring for pediatric patients.
