TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Roanoke, Virginia, 24014!

Job Title: PACU RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Active RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: - EPIC charting experience required - Critical care experience preferred Description: Position available for a PACU RN. The shift hours are 3x12s from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM. Charting is done using EPIC. Weekend requirements may include every other weekend or six weekend shifts in a six-week scheduling block. Participation in a call rotation with staff is required. Requests for time off, block scheduling, and special scheduling requests must be included in the submission. The facility allows for one shift cancellation every two weeks. One holiday must be worked within the 13-week contract. First-time travelers are not accepted. Local candidates will not be considered. Pending licenses are accepted only if the candidate holds a single-state license from a non-compact state. Required clinical skills include IV therapy, respiratory care, neuro assessment, and cardiac management. Experience with surgical procedures such as ENT, general surgery, and spinal surgery is necessary. Monitoring and assessments for diverse patient populations are part of the responsibilities. Floating within the staff's skillset may be required. The patient population includes adolescents, infants, adults, and geriatrics. Surgical specialties encompass trauma, pediatrics, bariatric, and more. Interdisciplinary support is available from various services. Daily census ranges from 80 to 110 patients. This role involves managing patients in the post-anesthesia care unit and ensuring their recovery and comfort. Nursing excellence is a priority, with a focus on providing high-quality care in a supportive environment. Experience in trauma or critical care environments is highly valued.
