Candidates must be comfortable floating to pediatric PACU as needed. Description: Please ensure traveler is aware that upon accepting an assignment and starting the role, the unit manager may assign to an "Emergency Team". There will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the event passes or be part of the relief team. Specific details pertaining to pay during emergency events will be relayed as impacts vary. By signing the travel contract, candidates accept these terms and agree to report as assigned if an emergency event occurs. Unit supports patients for all major surgical services. This department provides pre/post op care to patients of all ages in Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery. Candidates should be prepared to care for patients of all ages. The unit has high volumes of pediatric patients. Nurses care for pre op and recovery patients and support a diverse range of surgical and procedural populations. Special equipment used includes Hoyer lifts and bladder scanners. Patient ratio will be in accordance with unit standards. Preferable candidates will have experience in PACU or Pre/Post Op settings. References will be required to obtain clearance to start the contract. Candidates should ensure all required certifications are updated and available upon submission. Resources who have previously worked as permanent staff or in-house contractors must have a full year of separation before they can return in a travel capacity.
