Key Responsibilities
Provide pre- and post-operative nursing care in a procedural unit with 2 procedure rooms and 3 pre/post bays
Care for patients undergoing non-invasive cardiology procedures including TEE, cardioversions, and stress testing
Maintain a patient ratio of 1:3 throughout pre, procedural, and post-operative phases
Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
Participate in on-call rotations as required by the unit
Fulfill holiday coverage requirements as scheduled by the unit (1-2 summer and/or winter holidays may be expected)
Required Qualifications
Active Iowa RN license (or compact eligibility)
AHA or ARC BLS certification required
Minimum 24 months of current experience in pre/post-op, PACU, or cardiac/cardiology setting
First-time travelers accepted with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
EPIC EMR experience required
TEE and cardioversion experience required
Skills checklist specific to pre/post-op, cath, or cardiac discipline required at time of submission
Valid driver's license required
Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
Stress testing experience preferred
