The unit has 16 beds with a patient ratio of 1:2. There is no unit secretary or tech; only RNs will be present. Equipment includes bedside monitors and arterial lines. The documentation system utilized is Meditech. This position will require 12-hour shifts with call rotations. There is no floating policy in place. Excellent teamwork is a key feature of this unit. Intubations are performed in this unit, but anesthesia leads this procedure. Certifications such as CCRN and CAPA are preferred. The required uniform is navy blue scrubs.
