Description:
This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
The unit has a total of 19 main PACU beds and 4 beds in the atrium PACU.
There are 13 full-time staff members on the unit.
The number of patients per nurse is 2:1, with 1:1 ratios for unstable ICU patients and pediatric patients.
Employees will work within specific shift times, including 8, 9, 10, and 12-hour shifts.
Required equipment includes ventilators, monitors, and infusion pumps.
The electronic medical record system used is Meditech.
Typical duties include setting up PCA pumps, performing drip titration, and drawing blood from arterial lines.
Ideal candidates should possess good organizational skills, be able to multitask, work effectively as part of a team, and be reliable.
There is no floating to other areas or units.
The dress code consists of navy scrubs.
Staff are required to be on call during specified hours.
