Job Opportunity – Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse – Michigan

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Saginaw, Michigan

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: On-call required, most likely one night per week with occasional weekend coverage

Highlights:

  • Provide critical post-anesthesia care by maintaining adequate respiratory and cardiac status for patients recovering from anesthesia
  • Continuously assess patient condition while ensuring safety and comfort during the awakening phase
  • Deliver direct patient care including medication administration, treatments, and physician-ordered interventions
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to evaluate treatment effectiveness and update care plans
  • Process and execute physician orders accurately and timely while monitoring medication changes
  • Occasional weekend coverage required with regular on-call rotation

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of PACU nursing experience required
  • Active Michigan RN License (verified through LARA and/or Nursys)
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification
  • Current American Heart Association ACLS certification
  • Current skills checklist pertinent to PACU specialty (within 1 year)
  • Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years
