Job Opportunity – PACU Registered Nurse – Virginia

Start Date: September 7, 2026

Location: Salem, Virginia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 9 or 12 hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM); call coverage 1-2 times per week; 1 call weekend per month; 2 call holidays per year

Highlights:
  • 15-bed Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) with patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1
  • Closed unit with no floating requirements
  • Expanse electronic documentation system with modern equipment including GE bedside monitors, IV pumps, bladder scanners, and central telemetry
  • Procedures include ECT, bedside manipulations, and blood patch
  • Collaborative team environment with PCT support and experienced RN staff
  • Preferred experience with ventilator management and critical drips
Requirements:
  • Active RN license in Virginia (or eligibility for licensure)
  • ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
  • Preferred: 1-2 years ICU or ER experience, or 1 year medical-surgical floor experience
  • Advanced skills preferred: Ventilator experience and critical drip management
  • Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
