Job Opportunity – PACU Registered Nurse – Virginia
Start Date: September 7, 2026
Location: Salem, Virginia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 9 or 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM); call required 1-2 times per week; 1 call weekend per month; 2 call holidays per year
Highlights:
- 15-bed Post Anesthesia Care Unit with 1:2 or 1:1 patient ratios
- Closed unit – no floating policy
- Advanced procedures including ECT, bedside manipulations, and blood patch
- State-of-the-art equipment: GE bedside monitors, central telemetry, IV pumps, bladder scanner, EKG, and suction devices
- Expanse documentation system for streamlined charting
- Collaborative team environment with one PCT and dedicated RN staff
Requirements:
- Active RN license in good standing
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
- Preferred: 1-2 years ICU or ER experience, or 1 year medical-surgical floor experience
- Advanced skills preferred: ventilator experience and critical drip management
