# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) – Texas

Start Date: September 16, 2026

Location: San Antonio, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM (night shift). 24/7 coverage model with one nurse in-house and second nurse on-call for night cases. No additional on-call requirements.

Highlights:
  • 18-bay adult PACU serving a variety of surgical specialties
  • Patient ratios of 1:1 for initial 30 minutes or ICU-level patients; 2:1 when stable
  • Two RNs required in PACU at all times when patients are present
  • EMR system: Meditech Magic
  • Collaborative team environment with 25 nursing staff members
  • Expanding to full 24/7 coverage with growing night shift team
Requirements:
  • Active RN license in Texas (or ability to obtain)
  • Minimum 2 years of PACU experience (required)
  • ICU level of care competency (required)
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
  • CPAN or CAPA certification preferred
